В статье анализируется современное состояние и особенности функционирования нефтегазовой промышленности России и Евросоюза. Особое внимание уделяется вопросам энергетической зависимости ЕС от США и перспективам возобновления поставок российских энергоносителей на европейский рынок. Раскрываются причины и последствия энергетического кризиса Европы, возможность распада еврозоны и перехода ее стран-членов к масштабному импорту энергоресурсов из России. С учетом соблюдения норм и принципов международного права обосновываются стратегические преимущества такого перехода в рамках сохранения и расширения торгово-экономической интеграции.

Russia and the Energy Future of European Union: Current Situation and Forecast

The article analyzes the current state and features of the functioning of the oil and gas industry in Russia and the European Union. Particular attention is paid to the issues of the EU's energy dependence on the United States and the prospects for resuming Russian energy supplies to the European market. The causes and consequences of the European energy crisis, the possibility of the collapse of the eurozone and the transition of its member countries to large-scale energy imports from Russia are revealed. Taking into account compliance with the norms and principles of international law, the strategic advantages of such a transition within the framework of maintaining and expanding trade and economic integration are substantiated.
